LOCAL MINISTRY TEAM. This is a team of lay and ordained people working together in the parish to encourage and support the congregation to take part in the life and the witness of the church. The team meet regularly to discuss mission and ministry matters. They work together in delivering services, visiting the sick and other aspects of Christian ministry.
BELLRINGERS. We have an active band of ringers. As well as ringing for all the main services, regular practices are held every Thursday night from 7.30 to 9.00pm – visitors are very welcome. If you are interested in learning to ring, wish to book the bells for a wedding or require any further information regarding the bells, please contact the Tower Captain
CHOIR. The choir belongs to the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) and sings for all main services and other occasions throughout the year, including weddings when requested. Regular practices are held every Thursday evening at 7.00pm. For further details please contact the Choir Leader
MOTHERS’ UNION. The Mothers’ Union is an international Christian charity that seeks to support families worldwide and has 4 million members in 81 countries. Our local members share the heartfelt vision to bring about a world where God’s love is shown through loving, respectful and flourishing relationships, in particular supporting marriage and family life. They serve Christ in the local community through prayer, financial support and a programme of activities. Meetings are on the first Wednesday of each month. New members are always welcome – and they don’t have to be mums!
FLOWER GROUP. The teams in the flower group take it in turns to decorate the church throughout the year, apart from lent and advent, with special displays to celebrate festivals and other special occasions, including weddings when requested. The group is always pleased to hear from anyone wishing to join.
